Punjab News (Pawan Dhupar): The recent heavy rains and floods in Punjab have completely devastated several villages. Thousands of acres of crops have been submerged, and millions of people have been left homeless. In these critical times, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is standing firmly with the flood victims in every difficulty. Cabinet ministers and the state administration are working together to speed up relief operations. From delivering essential supplies to affected families, to helping them restart their homes and livelihoods, the Punjab Government is providing strong support at every step.
Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchakk provided assistance to flood-affected families in Kohliyan Adda village of Bhóa constituency. In particular, two families of cobblers (shoemakers) were given financial aid and necessary equipment to restart their business.
The fury of the Ravi River had severely destroyed Kohliyan Adda and several nearby villages. These two cobbler families lost all their belongings in the floodwaters. Minister Kataruchakk handed over essential tools and new pairs of shoes to one family to restart their work, while the other family was provided direct financial assistance. This will not only help them revive their livelihood but also strengthen their financial condition.
The Punjab Government is focusing not just on immediate relief but also on long-term needs. So far, more than 400 beds, mattresses, mosquito nets, gas cylinders, and other essential supplies have been distributed in various villages of the constituency. Minister Kataruchakk assured that no flood-affected family will ever feel abandoned, and the government will always stand by them wherever needed.
This support is not just financial assistance, but also a source of new hope and confidence, enabling families to secure the future of their children. It shows clearly that the Punjab Government is not just offering relief—it is fully committed to bringing people’s lives back on track.
The AAP Government has promised to take every possible step to ensure housing, employment, and rehabilitation of flood victims. This is not merely relief, but a living example of partnership with its people. Once again, the Punjab Government has proven that it is not just about politics, but about being a sensitive companion in people’s joys and sorrows—always standing with them.
