New Delhi: At least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft, including F-16 fighter jets, were destroyed or damaged in Indian strikes during Operation Sindoor, Indian Air Force Chief Marshal AP Singh said on Friday. He dismissed Islamabad’s claims of Indian losses as “fictional stories.”
The Air Chief Marshal said the operation also damaged several military installations in Pakistan, including hangars at three locations, radars at four sites, command and control centres at two places, and runways at two bases. He was addressing a press conference ahead of the annual Air Force Day.
Singh noted that reports of militant groups shifting bases to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province after Operation Sindoor were expected, adding that the IAF has the capability to destroy them with precision strikes. He also indicated that India may procure more batches of S-400 air defence missile systems, which he said performed well during the operation.
He cited intelligence inputs and electronic surveillance to detail Pakistan’s losses in Operation Sindoor.
