Gold and silver prices drop sharply after Diwali

New Delhi: The prices of gold and silver have witnessed a significant decline after Diwali, falling sharply from their recent record highs.

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 3,726 to Rs 1,23,907 on October 22. On October 20, the same was priced at Rs 1,27,633, while gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 1,29,584 on October 17.

Gold has now become cheaper by Rs 5,677 from its peak, while silver prices have dropped by Rs 25,599 from their record high.
