Passport Adaalat: Over 250 applications approved at Jalandhar RPO

Jalandhar News: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Jalandhar, organized a Passport Adaalat on Wednesday, attracting around 350 applicants seeking resolution of various passport-related matters. The initiative aimed to expedite pending cases and provide citizens with hassle-free services.

Divulging the details, Regional Passport Officer Mr. Yashpal said that more than 250 applications were approved and cleared for passport issuance, while necessary action has been initiated on the remaining cases. During the adalat more that 350 cases were attended by officials of which 250 got on-the-spot approval. The RPO stated that such adaalats and special camps will be organized regularly to facilitate applicants and ensure faster delivery of passport services.

He also reiterated his commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services. He further mentioned that the spplicants with pending files can visit the office between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on any working day, with or without prior online appointments, carrying all relevant documents.

In a related outreach effort, the RPO’s Mobile Van, deployed at the Tehsil Complex, SBS Nagar, from November 10 to 12, received an overwhelming public response, he added. Encouraged by its success, the Regional Passport Office announced plans to extend the Mobile Van facility to other locations under its jurisdiction, further enhancing accessibility to passport services across the region.
