Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday flagged off 250 new buses for the PRTC fleet in Patiala and launched several development projects, while also taking sharp digs at opposition parties.
Addressing the gathering, Mann said his government has fulfilled key guarantees within four years of coming to power. He highlighted that financial assistance for women has been increased, with ₹1,500 being given to SC and BC women.
Taking a swipe at the Congress, Mann said the party frequently changes its leadership, while also targeting Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Badal. “People hardly recognise them without security. Yesterday, he was seen riding a bike,” Mann remarked.
He added that his government is focused on delivering on promises and strengthening public services, including transport infrastructure with the addition of new buses to the state fleet.
