New Delhi: The ongoing rift between the Aam Aadmi Party and its now-rebel Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha continues to intensify, with fresh allegations and counter-allegations from both sides.
The controversy comes days after Chadha was removed as deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced by Ashok Mittal.
Amid claims by Chadha’s supporters that his security was withdrawn by the Punjab government while the Centre granted him Z+ protection, AAP national spokesperson Anurag Dhanda raised questions over the timing of developments.
Dhanda alleged a possible link between an Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on Ashok Mittal and Chadha being granted Z+ security on the same day, suggesting it may not be a coincidence. He further claimed that such protection could allow the BJP to “use” Chadha politically when needed.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had also accused Chadha of aligning with the BJP.
