CHANDIGARH: The Common Entrance Test (CET) for recruitment to Group C posts in Haryana will be conducted in July over two or three days instead of a single day.
A high-level meeting regarding the exam preparations was held in Chandigarh on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi.
Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) from all districts joined the meeting to discuss arrangements for the upcoming examination. Following the discussions, the Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure the exam is conducted in a free, fair, smooth, and transparent manner.
Rastogi said that a total of 13,48,697 applications have been received for CET-2025. In light of the high number of applicants, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has been instructed to conduct the exam across two to three days.
All Deputy Commissioners have been asked to identify examination centres within three days and submit their reports by Monday.
HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh also issued a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding the selection and management of exam centres. The SOP was shared with all Deputy Commissioners to guide the preparations.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Higher Education) Vineet Garg, Transport Department Secretary T.L. Singh, and other senior officials, including Satya Prakash, were present at the meeting.
