Jalandhar News: Nitin Kohli, Aam Aadmi Party’s in-charge for Jalandhar Central, described the recently launched ‘Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojana’ as a historic gift for the people of Punjab, calling it a blessing under the leadership of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Kohli said Kejriwal and Mann are leaders who have shown that politics can be driven by action, not just promises. “With true intent and a spirit of public service, systems can be changed. This scheme is not just another policy but a revolutionary step that will bring relief to every poor and middle-class family in Punjab,” he said.
Under the scheme, every resident of Punjab will receive cashless treatment worth up to Rs 10 lakh in government and private hospitals. Earlier, the limit was Rs 5 lakh, which has now been doubled. Kohli said this historic decision will set an example for other states across the country. The process for creating health cards under this scheme will begin on October 2, with the aim to complete enrolments within three months through camps across the state.
Kohli added that the AAP government has proven that politics can focus on education, healthcare, employment, and dignity. “Today, Punjab is showing the way to the nation,” he said.
Kohli also congratulated Kejriwal and Mann for taking this sensitive and welfare-oriented decision, adding that both leaders have earned a place in the hearts of the people.
