PM Modi credits Indian technology and Make in India for success of Operation Sindoor

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that Indian technology and the Make in India initiative were key to the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which forced Pakistan to “kneel down within hours.”

Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Metro Phase-3 project in Bengaluru, PM Modi said the world saw a “new face of India” during Operation Sindoor, when the Indian Army destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan in just a few hours.

“The world saw for the first time a new face of India during Operation Sindoor, when the Indian Army showed its strength by destroying terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and, in just a few hours, Pakistan came to its knees,” he said.

PM Modi added that Bengaluru and its youth played a significant role in the operation. He said India must not only compete but also lead at the global level, and cities need to be “smart, fast and efficient” to achieve this goal.

Highlighting the government’s focus on modern infrastructure, he stressed the need for urban planning to prepare cities like Bengaluru for the future. Modi said Bengaluru continues to uphold the legacy of its founder Kempe Gowda and is turning his dream into reality.

“We are looking at Bengaluru as a symbol of the rise of new India. The city has spiritual and technical knowledge,” he said.
