Hands over two boats sent by Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human
Ferozepur News (September 6): To check on and help the people in flood-affected villages of Ferozepur, Deepak Bali (General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party, Chairman of Tourism Punjab, and Vice President of Punjab Cricket Association) visited the village Gatti Rajo Ke today.
During the visit, Deepak Bali inspected the water level in the village and interacted with the villagers. He said this is a natural calamity, and everyone has to face it together by supporting each other in this difficult time.
He said that the government is continuously doing relief work, and the villagers, along with other social organizations, are extending full cooperation in these efforts. He said he had come today to check on the well-being of the people and to help them. He further stated that he had coordinated with Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s NGO Being Human, and today, two boats have been sent for the village’s service. He added that after the water recedes, several villages will be adopted by them, and full assistance will be provided.
During the visit, Deepak Bali also distributed ration, drinking water, and animal feed and assured the people that they (AAP government) stand with them and that assistance will continue after the water recedes, until the villagers are able to return to their normal lives.
At the same time, Sarpanch Prakash Singh briefed him about the situation in the village, to which he assured every possible help. Deepak Bali also handed over the two boats sent by Being Human NGO to the village and said that more assistance will be provided in the coming days, and the Aam Aadmi Party government and district administration will stand firmly with them. On this occasion, he also inspected the ongoing relief work and medical camps in the area.
