350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji – Deepak Bali meets Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah, seeks support for Srinagar events

Punjab E News (Pawan Dhupar): Advisor to the Department of Culture and Tourism, Deepak Bali, today held an important meeting with the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah. The meeting was for organizing a Nagar Kirtan in Srinagar as part of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

On this occasion, Deepak Bali extended an invitation to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to participate in these historic and sacred events and sought full support from the Jammu & Kashmir government. Secretary of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Abhinav Trikha, was also present during the meeting.

Sharing more information about this, Deepak Bali informed that a detailed program for the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji has also been released. As part of the series of events, the first grand Kirtan Darbar will be organized on October 25 at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib in Delhi. Prior to the main events, a special Nagar Kirtan Yatra will start from Srinagar on November 19 and proceed towards Punjab, reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22.

On this occasion, apart from the main Nagar Kirtan starting from Srinagar, three more Nagar Kirtans will commence on November 20 from different historic towns of Punjab. These Nagar Kirtans will start from Gurdaspur, Faridkot, and Talwandi Sabo, and all of them will also reach the holy land of Sri Anandpur Sahib on the night of November 22. The state government will organize the main events at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 23, 24, and 25, where a large number of devotees will pay obeisance.
