New Delhi: Oil companies have increased the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) by 3 per cent and commercial LPG by Rs 15.50 per cylinder, following a review of global prices.
According to state-owned fuel retailers, the price of jet fuel in the national capital rose by Rs 3,052.5 per kilolitre, or 3.3 per cent, to Rs 93,766.02 per kilolitre. The revision comes after a 1.4 per cent (Rs 1,308.41 per kilolitre) reduction last month. The hike is expected to push up the operating costs of commercial airlines by nearly 40 per cent.
Simultaneously, the price of commercial LPG used in hotels and restaurants has been raised by Rs 15.50 per cylinder.
A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,595.50 in the national capital. This marks the first increase in six months, following a cut of Rs 51.50 on September 1.
