CHANDIGARH: The family of senior IPS officer Puran Kumar, who allegedly died by suicide, has termed the FIR registered in the case as “unsatisfactory.” The family raised objections over the absence of accused names and alleged that wrong sections of the SC/ST Act were mentioned.
The deceased officer’s wife, Amneet P. Kumar, who is a senior IAS officer in the Haryana government, lodged a fresh complaint with the Chandigarh Police SSP at 12:53 am on Thursday.
She demanded corrections to the FIR and a re-investigation into the case, claiming that the initial report was incomplete and failed to include crucial details.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem examination of the IPS officer’s body remains a matter of suspense, with officials yet to confirm when it will be conducted.
