Ludhiana: The son of former Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay was injured in a road accident on Dandi Swami Road in Ludhiana on November 7.
According to police, Siddhant Chattopadhyay was travelling with his mother and other family members to have dinner at a restaurant around 8:30 pm when the incident occurred. After reaching the spot, Siddhant stepped out of the vehicle while the rest of the family remained seated inside. Moments later, a white car approaching from behind rammed into their vehicle.
The collision left the rear of Siddhant’s car completely damaged, while the bonnet of the other car was also crushed. Family members sustained injuries in the impact. Police said the driver of the car that hit them was under the influence of alcohol.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
