CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday returned from his 10-day visit to Japan and South Korea and addressed a press conference at his official residence. He shared details of his meetings with company representatives and government ministers during the tour, saying several firms had expressed strong interest in investing in Mohali.
Mann said many international companies were willing to contribute to developing Mohali as an IT hub, while some also discussed the possibility of setting up research and development centres in the region.
The Chief Minister was accompanied on the tour by Punjab industrialist Sanjeev Gupta, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha and senior officials linked to investment promotion. The visit was aimed at attracting new investment to Punjab and strengthening industrial cooperation.
