Lucky Oberoi murder case: named accused Dalbir ‘Dalbeera’ denies role, calls allegations baseless

Jalandhar: In the murder case of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberoi, the named accused Dalbir Singh alias Dalbeera has broken his silence, claiming that he has no connection with the crime.

Addressing the media, Dalbeera said he neither had any personal enmity with Oberoi nor had he ever spoken to him over the phone. “I never had any conversation with Lucky, nor did we ever come face to face. The claims about threats are completely baseless,” he said, adding that Oberoi’s family was being misled.

He alleged that an old rival and Oberoi’s associate, identified as Shashi Sharma, had deliberately dragged his name into the case. Dalbeera claimed that he had distanced himself from criminal activities over the past two years and was leading a peaceful life.

According to him, local political rivalry and a tussle for dominance had led to his name being linked to the murder. Police are continuing their investigation into the case and have not issued any fresh statement regarding Dalbeera’s claims so far.
