Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced the launch of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026, welcoming leading industrialists from India and abroad to the state.
In a post on social media, the chief minister said the summit marks a significant step towards attracting large-scale investment and creating employment opportunities for the youth of Punjab.
During the event held at Chandigarh, Mann also held a meeting with Lakshmi Mittal, executive chairman of ArcelorMittal.
According to the chief minister, the discussion focused on potential large-scale investments in Punjab and the creation of new employment opportunities for young people in the state.
Mann said the government is committed to providing a business-friendly environment for industries, adding that Punjab is increasingly emerging as a preferred destination for investors.
He reiterated that the state government will extend all possible support to industries and called on stakeholders to work together to build a prosperous “Rangla Punjab.”
