New Delhi: An embarrassing situation unfolded in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday when obscene content suddenly appeared during a live virtual hearing in the Chief Justice’s courtroom, causing a major disruption in proceedings.
The incident occurred during a hearing before a division bench led by Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Tejas Karia. As the bench began taking up matters from the supplementary list, the unexpected intrusion interrupted the court’s decorum.
Following the breach, the High Court administration immediately lodged a complaint with Delhi Police’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit, indicating a suspected cyber intrusion. Authorities have sought an urgent investigation into the serious lapse in security during the virtual proceedings.
Officials said a preliminary probe has been initiated to trace the source of the disruption and identify those responsible. The incident has raised concerns over cybersecurity vulnerabilities in virtual court hearings.
