New Delhi: Air India has announced a reduction in its international widebody operations by up to 15 percent starting June 20, 2025.

The move, attributed to limited aircraft availability, low demand, and rising operational costs, will directly impact long-haul flights from Amritsar to Europe during the third quarter of the year.

Flights from Amritsar to both Birmingham and London Gatwick will see a decrease in frequency between July 1 and August 31, 2025. According to the revised schedule:

Amritsar–Birmingham route will operate three times a week, down from four.

Amritsar–London Gatwick service will also be reduced to three flights per week, from the current four.

Both routes are served by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Air India said the schedule revision was based on an ongoing evaluation of market conditions and cost efficiency in international operations.
