Panipat: A youth has accused the Samalkha police station SHO and other police personnel of third-degree torture after being detained in a land dispute case. The youth, identified as Narendra from Budsham village, alleged that he was brutally beaten inside the police station, resulting in a fractured leg.

The police had registered a case under sections 107 and 151 against Narendra and his wife following the dispute. After securing bail, Narendra underwent a medical examination and lodged a complaint with the Panipat SP, who has directed the Samalkha DSP to investigate the matter.

In his complaint, Narendra mentioned that he was sowing paddy in his field along with his wife and labourers around 9 am on June 30 when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, Samalkha SHO Deepak refuted the allegations, claiming that Narendra is of a criminal nature and is attempting to blackmail the police. The SHO said that Narendra has previously been accused of murdering his father and is also facing a cheating case.
