Sonipat: A young man died after falling from the fourth floor of a building while trying to take a selfie in Haryana’s Sonipat, police said.
The incident took place on the afternoon of July 15 in the Rai industrial area, where the youth was doing an internship at a company. His training was scheduled to end in two days, after which he was to return home to Bhiwani.
According to police, the youth had gone to the fourth floor with a friend to take a selfie to keep memories of his days spent at the company.
His friend told police that he got scared after seeing the height and came down, and shortly after, received information about the accident. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
The youth, who had celebrated his birthday just a day earlier, was the only son in his family.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information, took the body into custody, and sent it for postmortem.
Statements of his friends and relatives have also been recorded as part of the investigation.
