Malerkotla: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated new tehsil complexes in Ahmedgarh and Amargarh during his visit to Malerkotla on Friday, calling it a significant step to make administrative services more accessible to local residents.
Mann visited the newly built tehsil complexes and urged people to take maximum benefit of the facilities. He said the complex in Mandi Ahmedgarh has been equipped with modern amenities, adding that this model is being implemented across Punjab to improve administrative services.
Addressing people after the inauguration, Mann highlighted the government’s achievements and policies for the industry sector in Punjab, stating that a dedicated industry policy has been formulated to attract investment.
The chief minister also mentioned the state government’s health insurance scheme, under which patients can avail of free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh in empanelled hospitals with minimal paperwork.
“Just go to the hospital with your Aadhaar card and voter card, get treatment and come back. Our government will handle the bill,” Mann said.
