New Delhi: A Delhi court has granted custodial parole to jailed Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid to attend the monsoon session of Parliament from July 24 to August 4.
Rashid, the MP from Baramulla, has been lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail since 2019 after his arrest by the National Investigation Agency under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in a 2017 terror funding case.
The custodial parole was granted by Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh, allowing Rashid to attend Parliament to discharge his duties as an MP.
