Jaipur: A protest in Jaipur demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan turned chaotic after Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths during the demonstration.
According to eyewitness accounts, the protest was being attended by members of several organisations, including supporters of the Cockroach Janata Party. Demonstrators were raising slogans and voicing their demands when a group of unidentified youths reportedly entered the gathering and confronted Dipke.
The situation escalated when the youths allegedly slapped Dipke during the protest. The incident triggered outrage among his supporters and other participants present at the venue.
Following the alleged assault, supporters of the activist leader confronted the accused youths, leading to a scuffle at the protest site. The clash created tension and disrupted the demonstration for some time.
Police personnel deployed at the venue intervened to bring the situation under control. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and efforts are underway to identify those involved.
The protest was organised as part of a campaign seeking accountability over issues related to the education sector and demanding the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
