Chandigarh: Banga Road and Palahi Road in Phagwara will soon be reconstructed at a cost of around Rs 5 crore and are expected to be completed before Diwali, Aam Aadmi Party’s state spokesperson and the in-charge of the Phagwara assembly constituency said on Wednesday.
Mann met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s Principal Secretary Ravi Bhagat at the Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh to discuss various issues concerning the Phagwara constituency.
He said the poor condition of these roads had been a long-pending concern and was taken up as a priority during the meeting.
“The reconstruction work will be completed before Diwali, and the roads will be dedicated to the public,” Mann said in a media statement.
