CHANDIGARH: Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij on Thursday removed the word “Minister” from his X (formerly Twitter) bio, triggering speculation over his ties with the BJP leadership. Vij’s profile, earlier described as “Anil Vij Minister Haryana,” now reads “Anil Vij Ambala Cantt Haryana Bharat.”
The development comes days after Vij publicly accused some party leaders of running a “parallel BJP” in his constituency, Ambala Cantonment.
In a post on X, the senior leader wrote, “In Ambala Cantonment, some people are running the BJP in parallel with the blessings of those above. What should we do? The party is suffering a lot.” He had also sought suggestions from his supporters but later declined to comment further.
This is not the first time Vij has altered his bio. Last year, he removed the tagline “Modi Ka Parivaar” from his X profile, later restoring it after issuing an explanation, asserting that he remained a “staunch devotee” of the BJP.
