Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal is set to meet party leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who is lodged in Nabha jail in connection with a Vigilance Bureau case on undisclosed assets.
Majithia was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau in June 2025 on charges of amassing assets worth crores through shell companies and benami transactions, and for allegedly laundering drug money of about Rs 540 crore.
Investigating agencies have filed a charge sheet running nearly 40,000 pages and recorded statements of over 200 witnesses in the case. Majithia’s bail plea was rejected by the court, keeping him in judicial custody.
