New Delhi: More than 300 flights were delayed at Delhi airport on Friday following a technical fault in the airport’s air traffic control (ATC) system.
The glitch affected the ATC’s Automatic Message Switch System (AMSS), which provides critical information about flight schedules, including takeoff and landing timings.
As a result, ATC officials are manually preparing flight schedules using the data already available.
The delays at Delhi also had a ripple effect on flights to and from other airports. The Delhi Airport Authority has not yet indicated when normal operations are expected to resume.
