Nitin Kohli says ‘it signals strong momentum for 2027 Punjab Assembly Polls
Jalandhar News: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has injected new energy into Punjab’s political landscape with its decisive and historic victory in Tarn Taran by-election. The win is being viewed as a strong endorsement of what the party describes as “honest, transparent, and development-oriented governance.” Celebrations broke out among party workers and supporters across the state as discussions intensified over the political and social impact of this outcome.
Nitin Kohli, AAP’s Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge, termed the victory a clear signal from the people ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. He said the results indicated that Punjab had made up its mind — the public wants to see an AAP government return to power in 2027.
Expressing gratitude to the people, Kohli said the victory reflected the party’s honest work and people-centric policies. He added that this triumph was not just an electoral win but a message from the people, who have shown confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. According to Kohli, the results show that the public is ready to bring AAP back in 2027.
Kohli credited the victory to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Arvind Kejriwal, and the teams working tirelessly at the grassroots level. He said the win symbolised the people’s overwhelming mandate for stable, transparent, and results-driven governance.
Following the announcement of the Tarn Taran by-election results, Nitin Kohli celebrated the win with party leaders and workers at his Jalandhar office. Jalandhar Mayor Vaneet Dhir was also present. The celebrations filled the office with drumbeats, fireworks, and the distribution of sweets.
Party leaders praised the hard work of volunteers, calling the victory a result of strong booth-level performance, organised village teams, and dedicated ground efforts. Kohli said the historic win in Tarn Taran reflects the people’s trust in the AAP government’s welfare schemes, education and health reforms, mohalla clinic model, and transparent governance.
He said the party has fulfilled its promises, and the people have seen real work, not just assurances — which is why they responded with such strong support. Kohli added that the by-election result should serve as a major lesson for traditional parties that ruled Punjab for years but failed to deliver genuine development. He noted that Punjab has tried every model, but now the people trust only one — the Aam Aadmi Party model that works on the ground and transforms lives.
Kohli especially appreciated the hard work of all workers, booth teams, youth wing and women’s wing members. He said the workers are the backbone of the party, standing with people in every village and ward. The victory, he said, is the outcome of their relentless efforts. During the celebrations, workers expressed enthusiasm about preparations for 2027. Leaders said the win has strengthened AAP’s presence not only in the Malwa and Doaba regions but also significantly expanded the party’s influence in the politically crucial Majha belt.
Kohli said the people have great faith in AAP, and fulfilling that trust remains the party’s top priority. He added that the win brings responsibility — the party must now work even harder and serve with greater honesty. “2027 is not far,” he said, “and the people have made their stand clear.”
Mayor Vaneet Dhir said AAP’s historic victory in the Tarn Taran by-election proves that the people of Punjab have chosen development, transparency, and honest politics. He added that the results clearly show growing public trust in AAP’s policies, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, and Arvind Kejriwal’s vision.
