Kapurthala News: Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mr. Amit Kumar Panchal today reviewed the water supply schemes running in the district under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Mr. Panchal said that to implement the efforts for water conservation in the district more effectively, the District Water and Sanitation Mission has been formed under which the Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad, District Public Relations Officer, Executive Engineer Water Resources Department, Civil Surgeon, District Education Officer Secondary and Elementary, District Forest Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer have been included.
This mission will further intensify the awareness campaign for water conservation in the district and ensure that more effective steps are taken to protect natural water resources from pollution.
Mr. Panchal instructed the officers of the Education Department to further intensify the campaign to make children aware of water conservation and conservation in schools.
Apart from this, the heads of departments were also instructed to complete the ongoing works under the Jal Jeevan Mission on a war footing and special attention should be paid to quality in it.
