AAP MLA’s nephew in Ludhiana shot dead over kabaddi rivalry

Ludhiana: In Punjab’s Ludhiana district, Gagandeep Singh, nephew of AAP MLA Sarvjeet Kaur Manuoke, was shot dead. The 32-year-old, a bouncer by profession, reportedly helped a kabaddi player, which had created animosity with some youths in the village.

According to reports, both groups had agreed to confront each other at the village Manuoke grain market on Monday. After the killing, the accused went to the bouncer’s house and reportedly shouted, “We have killed your boy, his body is in the fields, go and collect it.”

Gagandeep Singh is survived by three children – two daughters and a son.

Hathur police station in-charge, Kuldeep Singh, arrived at the scene with a police team to assess the situation. The victim’s family told police that the murder was linked to a longstanding dispute related to the kabaddi player.
