Chandigarh: Bharatiya Janata Party president Sunil Jakhar was admitted to hospital on Sunday after he complained of breathing difficulty and chest pain early in the morning.
According to sources close to him, Jakhar reported chest discomfort around 5 am and was initially taken to a hospital in Panchkula. He was later shifted to Fortis Hospital Mohali for further evaluation and treatment.
Close aides said his condition is stable. Due to his health, Jakhar was unable to accompany party leaders for a scheduled meeting with the Punjab Governor.
Fortis Hospital has not yet issued an official medical bulletin on his condition. Sources said medical examinations are ongoing and doctors are closely monitoring his health.
