India thrash New Zealand by 46 runs in fifth T20I, clinch series 4–1

New Delhi: India defeated New Zealand by 46 runs in the fifth and final T20 International to seal the five-match series 4–1.

Chasing a massive target of 272 runs, New Zealand were bowled out for 225 in 19.4 overs. For India, Arshdeep Singh led the bowling attack with five wickets, while Axar Patel picked up three scalps.

Earlier, India posted 271 for five after opting to bat first at the Greenfield International Stadium. Ishan Kishan starred with a blistering century, scoring 103 off just 43 balls, including 10 sixes and six fours. Captain Suryakumar Yadav provided strong support with a quick 63 off 30 deliveries.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson once again failed to convert his start and was dismissed for six.

India had won the toss and elected to bat first in the series decider, setting the tone early with aggressive batting. The comprehensive victory capped a dominant series performance by the hosts against New Zealand.
