New Delhi: ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has confirmed seven teams for the Super 8 stage, with the final spot to be decided in Wednesday’s Pakistan vs Namibia clash.
If Pakistan win, they will qualify for Super 8 Group 2. However, if Namibia pull off a victory, USA will progress to Group 2 instead.
Group 1 line-up confirmed
India have already qualified for Group 1, where they will face South Africa, West Indies and Zimbabwe. Australia were earlier expected to advance but crashed out in the league stage. Zimbabwe secured their place in Super 8 Group 1 from Group B instead.
Super 8 to begin from February 21
The tournament, which began on February 7, will conclude its group-stage matches on February 20. The Super 8 round will start from February 21.
