New Delhi: Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has deleted more than 200 posts from his Instagram account following Punjab Kings’ exit from the IPL season. He also changed his profile picture, triggering speculation among fans on social media.
The move came after Arshdeep faced heavy trolling online following Punjab Kings’ elimination from the tournament. However, the actual reason behind deleting the posts has not been officially confirmed.
At present, only 44 posts remain visible on Arshdeep’s Instagram account. One of the remaining posts includes a viral reel with Virat Kohli, in which Arshdeep jokingly told Kohli that he could have scored a third consecutive century if the target had been bigger. Kohli’s humorous response in the video also gained attention, with the reel crossing more than 15 million views.
Arshdeep had also recently been in the spotlight during a live streaming session where cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal was allegedly seen vaping. During the same interaction, remarks involving Tilak Varma sparked controversy after former spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan termed them racially insensitive.
Recently, a PTI report claimed that videos involving Punjab Kings players would now only be shared through the franchise’s official social media handles. According to the report, the team management was also expected to instruct players to strictly follow the BCCI’s social media guidelines.
