Dambulla: Sri Lanka A defeated India A in a thrilling Super Over contest in Dambulla after the two sides finished level in regulation play. The match was followed by tense scenes on the field as players from both teams became involved in a heated exchange.

According to reports, the argument escalated after the match, with India A batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi allegedly pushing a Sri Lankan player during the confrontation. The incident created a tense atmosphere on the ground before officials and teammates intervened.

Earlier, India A were bowled out for 265 runs in 49.2 overs after opting to bat first. In reply, Sri Lanka A also finished on 265 runs at the end of their 50 overs, forcing the match into a tie.

There was uncertainty over whether a Super Over would be played as fading light had made conditions difficult. Match officials initially expressed concerns about continuing play due to poor visibility.
