Chandigarh: Residents across several districts in Punjab are set to face prolonged power cuts over the next 4–5 days as Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) undertakes system upgrade and strengthening work.
The outages come at a time when temperatures are rising sharply, with the weather department issuing a yellow alert for heatwave conditions over the next three days. Temperatures are expected to touch 40°C, compounding difficulties for residents.
According to PSPCL, major cities may witness power disruptions of 8 to 10 hours daily.
Power cut schedule:
April 22: Ludhiana (10 am–5 pm), Amritsar (10 am–4 pm), Patiala (1 pm–5 pm), Mohali (10 am–6 pm), Bathinda (9 am–2 pm)
