Two Punjab residents held with heroin worth Rs 1.05 lakh in Navi Mumbai

Mumbai: Two residents of Punjab have been arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin worth Rs 1.05 lakh in Navi Mumbai, police said on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap near an under-construction bridge in Panvel area late on Sunday night, an official said on Tuesday. The two men were arrested, and 35 grams of heroin, in the form of balls and stones, was seized from them, said Panvel city police station senior inspector Nitin Thakre.

The accused have been identified as Satnam Singh Sukhdev Singh (31) and Sukhwinder Singh Muknar Singh (59), both residents of Tarn Taran in Punjab, police said.
