Karachi: Three people, including a senior civilian and an eight-year-old girl, were killed, and more than 60 others injured in incidents of aerial firing during Independence Day celebrations in Karachi, Geo News reported on Thursday.
The incidents occurred across the city, with the girl fatally hit by a stray bullet in Azizabad, while a man identified as Stephen was killed in Korangi.
According to rescue officials, at least 64 people sustained bullet injuries in separate incidents.
Authorities condemned the firing as a reckless and dangerous act, urging citizens to mark Independence Day through safe means.
