‘I love Modi’ is fine, but why controversy over saying ‘I love Mohammed’: Owaisi

New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday questioned the controversy over expressing love for Prophet Muhammad.

He contrasted it with the freedom to say “I love Modi” in the country.

Owaisi was referring to a case registered against individuals for allegedly putting up boards reading “I love Mohammed” during the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession in Uttar Pradesh.

He asked, “If we want to go to our mosque, they want to take it away. One can say ‘I love Modi,’ but not ‘I love Mohammed’. In what direction do you plan to take the country?”
