Washington: At least seven people were injured in a shooting at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania on Saturday night, officials said.
According to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, law enforcement officers arrived on the scene and have launched an active investigation. Authorities did not immediately provide details about the victims’ conditions and urged the public to stay away from the area.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said on X that he had been briefed on the situation and assured full support from his administration to the university and local law enforcement. “Pray for the Lincoln University community with Lori and me,” he said.
Lincoln University, located in Oxford, is a historically Black institution situated about 70 kilometres southwest of Philadelphia.
