All three were reported to be in critical condition and have been referred to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMC) in Ludhiana for advanced treatment.

According to preliminary information, Jagjit Singh, son of Gurmej Singh and a resident of the village, allegedly opened fire at his 35-year-old wife Navneet Kaur and their four-year-old son Warisdeep Singh using his licensed revolver. After shooting them, he reportedly shot himself in an apparent suicide attempt.

Gunshots triggered panic in the area, with residents rushing to the spot. The injured were initially admitted to a private hospital in Firozpur but were later referred to Ludhiana due to their critical condition. Doctors said the trio remains under close observation.
