Ludhiana: A bomb threat email sent to KVM City School near Ludhiana Railway Station on Monday triggered panic, prompting the evacuation of students and a large-scale search operation by police and bomb disposal teams.
According to school authorities, the threatening email was received at around 10:30 am. The school staff immediately informed Principal Pankaj Joshi, who alerted the police.
Following the alert, police, bomb disposal squad personnel and other security teams rushed to the school and launched a thorough search of the premises. No suspicious object has been found so far.
As a precautionary measure, the school declared an early closure, and parents were asked to collect their children.
Principal Pankaj Joshi said the email contained a bomb threat, but its origin is yet to be traced. He added that the matter has been handed over to the police, who are investigating the source of the email and assessing the credibility of the threat.
