United Nations: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that his country was prepared for “fruitful” talks with India on all issues, but simultaneously condemned the situation in Kashmir.
Addressing the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Sharif also referred to “Operation Sindhur,” claiming that seven Indian aircraft were damaged during four days of fighting in May.
Responding to his remarks, Indian Air Chief Marshal Amarpreet Singh said Indian forces had shot down five Pakistani aircraft, including a large military plane.
Sharif added that Pakistan wanted to resolve differences peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy. “Pakistan stands fully prepared to hold talks with India on all other issues,” he said.
