Tarn Taran Election News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday led a large-scale roadshow and public meetings in Tarn Taran as part of the campaign for the upcoming Assembly by-election. He was accompanied throughout by Jalandhar Central Halka in-charge Nitin Kohli, who remained actively involved in the outreach efforts.
Speaking during the campaign, Nitin Kohli said that the people of Tarn Taran have witnessed the development-oriented governance model of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
“The enthusiasm among the people clearly shows that they want politics of honesty and performance. The work being done across Punjab under the leadership of CM Mann is visible, and Tarn Taran wants to be part of that change,” he said.
Addressing supporters during the roadshow, Kohli highlighted the grassroots connection of AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu.
“Sandhu is not a leader who appears only during elections. He is always among the people, listening to them and working for them. In the last four days of campaigning, I have seen the trust people have in him. His humility and service-oriented approach have made a strong impact,” Kohli added.
He further said the by-election is crucial for continuing the development initiatives rolled out by the AAP government.
“This seat is not just about a win; it will shape the direction of development here. Punjab is progressing rapidly under Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, and Tarn Taran must move forward at the same pace,” he stated.
During the campaign, Nitin Kohli visited various villages and wards, informing residents about the government’s initiatives such as model schools, mohalla clinics, affordable electricity, employment opportunities for youth, and the ongoing anti-drug efforts. He emphasized that the state is witnessing a new era of transparency and public-centric governance.
Expressing confidence of victory, Kohli said, “With the popularity of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the honesty of Harmeet Singh Sandhu, and the support of the people, the Aam Aadmi Party is set to secure a historic win in this by-election. Tarn Taran is ready for a new beginning.”
