Chandigarh: Congress state president and Ludhiana MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has found himself in another controversy during the Tarn Taran by-election campaign. A video circulating on social media shows Warring holding the ‘Kaish’ of two Sikh children and saying, “Where did the two Sardars go, too-to-too-too-too?” during a campaign event on Saturday night.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal termed the act as “sacrilege” and accused Warring of insulting Sikh dignity. Badal shared a 17-second clip of the incident on his social media account, alleging that Congress leaders have repeatedly disrespected Sikh values.
“Insulting and ridiculing the Sikh community has become a common habit of Congress leaders, who are murderous of Sikhs. Guru Sahib has given the precious gift of hair to the Sikh community. Kesh is one of the five Kakars bestowed by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj,” Badal wrote.

He added that despite being from Punjab, Warring failed to understand the spiritual importance of hair and the bun in Sikhism.
“The manner in which he touched the Kaish of two Sikh children and made a mocking comment at Tarn Taran Sahib has deeply hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community,” Badal said.
