New Delhi: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that universities linked to Israel and the United States in West Asia could be targeted in response to recent attacks on a major Iranian academic institution.
The development comes as the conflict in the region intensifies further, with Yemen’s Houthi rebels launching missile strikes directly at Israel for the first time.
Amid the escalating tensions, the United States has begun deploying thousands of Marines to the region, with the first contingent already arriving to stabilise the situation.
According to a report by The Washington Post, the US is also preparing for possible ground operations in Iran in the coming weeks.
The ongoing conflict is increasingly impacting the global economy and energy supply chains, while Israel continues to target government-linked sites in Iran and Lebanon as part of its military response.
