Ludhiana News (June 22): BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday engaged in an extensive interaction with young professionals, entrepreneurs, farmers and sportspersons from across Punjab during his three-day visit to the state. The programme brought together nearly 100 participants below the age of 40, who shared their views on Punjab’s development, governance and future opportunities.

The interaction witnessed participation from doctors, engineers, lawyers, startup founders, progressive farmers and athletes. The youth voiced concerns over a range of issues, including law and order, women’s safety, healthcare, entrepreneurship and agricultural diversification.
Several lawyers highlighted the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the state and expressed concern over the growing number of extortion cases. Young women participants raised questions about public safety and infrastructure, stating that many areas continue to feel unsafe during late hours.
Doctors pointed to delays in payments under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, claiming that while dues from neighbouring states such as Haryana and Uttar Pradesh were being cleared, payments from the Punjab Government remained pending.
Entrepreneurs and startup founders flagged logistical and business-related challenges. They said Punjab’s classification in a lower courier service category significantly increases shipping costs to major metropolitan cities, adversely affecting the competitiveness of businesses operating from the state.
Young agriculturists also shared their experiences. A large-scale dairy farmer from Patiala spoke about managing a herd of hundreds of cattle and supplying milk to organised dairy networks, while a farmer from Sangrur highlighted his efforts in crop diversification through large-scale potato cultivation and cold-storage operations.
Listening to the participants, Nitin Nabin assured them that the BJP would continue to support the aspirations of Punjab’s youth and work towards addressing the issues raised during the interaction. He said the state possesses immense potential and that the energy and innovation of young people can play a crucial role in driving Punjab’s growth and development.
The event also focused on employment generation, innovation, leadership and nation-building. Addressing the gathering, Punjab BJP President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon urged the youth to become active stakeholders in the state’s progress and development.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Punjab BJP Co-Incharge Dr Narendra Raina also addressed the participants and shared their perspectives on youth empowerment and opportunities for growth.
The enthusiastic participation of the attendees made the programme a success, with several participants stressing the need for accelerated development, improved infrastructure, greater support for startups and enhanced employment opportunities in Punjab.
Among those present were BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon, National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Punjab BJP Co-Incharge Dr Narendra Raina and
State General Secretary Parminder Singh Brar.
