Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have decided to present photographic and scientific evidence in a US court to prove that the First Lady is a woman, not a man or transgender.
The move comes as part of a defamation lawsuit filed against right-wing author Candace Owens, Macron’s lawyer said.
Owens has repeatedly claimed that Brigitte Macron was born male. Her attorneys have filed a motion seeking dismissal of the case.
Speaking to the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast, Macron’s lawyer Tom Clare said the allegations were “very disturbing” for the French First Lady and served as a distraction for the President.
