Mohali: Popular Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda passed away at the age of 35 at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on Wednesday. He had been battling for life for nearly two weeks after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident near Baddi on September 27.
Jawanda was travelling to Shimla on his motorcycle when the accident occurred. Confirming the news, Fortis Hospital Director Abhijeet Singh said, “Rajveer Jawanda breathed his last at 10.55 am.”
Following his death, additional police forces were deployed at the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Several Punjabi artists, including Kanwar Grewal, Resham Anmol, Harf Cheema, and Karamjeet Anmol, rushed to the hospital to pay their respects and express condolences to the bereaved family.
